Why we started Ready2Race Bike Transport
My first experience with bike transport was in 2021. It did not go well.Â
In 2021, I used a popular bike transport service for my first 70.3 race. My bike arrived with a bent derailleur. My chain popped. I fell on a hill. I finished but it wasn't the race I imagined.  I remember thinking at the time: "There has to be a better way"
A few years later, after spending some time away from the sport to raise young kids, I decided to get back into triathlon. As I looked into bike transport options again, I was surprised to find many of the same challenges still existed.
With 15 years of experience designing and optimizing supply chains for Fortune 500 companies, I felt there had to be a better way. Â
We founded our business based on on six key principles:
Â
-
Maintain sufficient cash reserves to fully fund logistics in advance
-
Engineer a purpose-built racking system that will protect the bike during transit
-
Build repeatable loading and handling procedures to reduce human error
-
Create conservative transport schedules with an operational buffer
-
Support athletes with on-site mechanical assistance, where possible
-
Fully insure every bike we transport
We know athletes place enormous trust in us when they hand over their bike. We take that responsibility seriously.
Our goal is simple: deliver your bike fully assembled, ready2race, and worry-free.
